Plankara Oy is an engineering consultancy based in Vantaa, Finland, providing mechanical, electrical, automation and software design for industrial clients. We are looking for a senior design engineer for roll design in the process industry in the Central Finland region (Jyväskylä area).

The work

– Mechanical design of rolls and other rotating machine elements

– 3D modelling and manufacturing and assembly drawings in CATIA V6 / 3DEXPERIENCE

– Strength analysis and dimensioning

– Integration of hydraulic connections into the structure

– Work for the client's product development team; partly remote as agreed with the client

We expect

– At least 15 years of experience in machine design

– Experience in roll design

– Strength analysis and dimensioning (FEM) in your own work

– Hydraulics expertise

– CATIA V6 or 3DEXPERIENCE in daily use

– BSc or MSc in engineering or equivalent

– English as working language; Finnish is an advantage

– Readiness to relocate to Finland

– Experience with large PDM environments is an advantage

How it works

– We first present your skills to the client anonymously. Your name is disclosed only with your permission and always company by company.

– When the client wants you on the project, we sign an employment contract with you.

– Salary for an experienced designer.
